Tibet Lhasa Mt Kailsah Tour

This tour is the amalgamation of Tibetan culture, lifestyle, pilgrimage and natural wonders. In this tour you spend first few days in Lhasa exploring famous sightseeing spots around Tibet including Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, Norbulinka Summer Palace, Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace and Barkhor Bazaar. After that you start your overland trip to Gyantse /Lhatse/Shigatse. Then you do hiking for few days to explore Mt. Kailash. After that you drive to Tibet Nepal border passing Tibetan plateau. After you cross the friendship bridge in border, drive back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu international airport. Transfer to the hotel. Orientation of the tour program.  Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 02:
Sightseeing tour to UNESCO’s world heritage sites: Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 03:
Transfer to Kathmandu International airport for Tibet departure. After arrival at Gongr airport in Lhasa, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa

Day 04:
Sightseeing tour of Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, Norbulinka Summer Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa

Day 05:
Sightseeing tour inside the Potala Palace.  
Overnight at hotel in Lhasa

Day 06:
Drive to Gyantse (3950 m.).
Overnight at hotel in Gyantse

Day 07:
Drive to Shigatse (3900 m.).
Overnight at hotel in Shigatse

Day 08:
Drive to Sakya / Lhatse (3900 m.).
Overnight at hotel in Lhatse

Day 09:
Drive to Saga (4600 m).
Overnight at camp

Day 10:
Drive to Paryang (4550 m.)
Overnight at camp

Day 11:
Drive to Chiu Gomba (4550 m.)
Overnight at camp

Day 12:
Drive to Gosul Gomba.
Overnight at camp

Day 13:
Drive to Darchen (4520 m.)
Overnight at camp

Day 14:
Drive to Traboche and start trek/ hike to Dera Phuk (4860 m.).
Overnight at camp

Day 15:
Trek to Zutul Phuk (4760 m.)
Overnight at camp

Day 16:
End trek near Darchen and drive to Horchu (4500 m.)
Overnight at camp

Day 17:
Drive to Paryang.
Overnight at camp

Day 18:
Drive to Saga.
Overnight at camp

Day 19:
Drive to Nyalam.
Overnight at camp

Day 20:
Drive to Zhangmu. After crossing friendship border, drive back to Kathmandu.
Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 21:
Transfer to Kathmandu International airport to connect flight for onward journey.
