Many Buddhists gather here daily from around Tibet to burn incense as a form of worship. Every crevice of the Jokhang Temple reveals its spiritual importance, and you can witness the architectural combinations of three different communities: Tibetan, Indian, and Nepalese.

You will have breakfast at the hotel, and then our guide will drive you to one of the largest Tibetan monasteries, Drepung Monastery. This monastery holds around 10,000 monks, 540 pastures, and 141 fazendas. It is also famous for its other name, “Rice Heap.” When viewed from a distance, the monastery’s imposing white structure resembles a pile of rice.

Later, we will visit another large monastery, Sera Monastery, located at the base of Tatipu Hill. Its three principal structures are Tsokchan Hall, Dratsang College, and Kamtsan Dormitory. Those rooms have unmatched paintings, exquisite statues, fragrance fabric, and scriptures inscribed in gold powder. Also, lively discussions on Buddhist philosophy are held in this location, which sets it apart from the other well-known monasteries in Lhasa.
