Trip Overview

A once-in-a-lifetime trek to Lhasa, Mt. Kailash, and the Guge Kingdom covers most places with cultural values and beautiful landscapes. This trip will let you fully enjoy Lhasa’s top destinations, the holy circumambulation of sacred Mount Kailash, and the Guge Kingdom.

Once you are on this trek, the best and key highlight is Mount Kailash(6714m), north of the Himalayan Plateau. It is also believed to be the universe’s spiritual center, the fabled Mount Meru. The Indus, Brahmaputra, Ganges, and Sutlej, the four major rivers of Asia, flow from this holy mountain.

Also, the knowledge we gain during our visit to Guge kingdom is one of the best parts we will take home. From its establishment in 868 until the 17th century, the Kingdom of Guge served as a central location for upholding Buddhism in Tibet. In 842, King Lang Darma was killed by his brother, and Buddhism in Tibet was utterly eradicated for about a century. Later, in 1040, the famous Indian Master Atisha visited Guge Kingdom, inspiring a renaissance of interest in Buddhism that extended across Tibet.

With its breathtaking landscapes and rich culture and traditions, this is undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime tour. We at Tashi Delek have meticulously organized the itinerary, ensuring you can savor every moment of this exclusive journey to famous and historical places, making you feel privileged and unique.
